Farmcreek
A historic Tavern and Inn built in 1790 in the Schoharie Valley of New York State and disassembled and rebuilt in the adjoining county of Delaware on part of the historic Thomson Farm in New Kingston NY.
Hi Ya. Welcome & Thanks for dropping by. It will be worth your time.
There are probably not many people, certainly in the United States who have lived in three homes that were all moved from original locations and rebuilt and settled on new land. In two instances, disassembled ocmpletely and in 1 insttance moved over 800 feet back from the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.
We save lots of things intentionally - pine cones, dogs, lost friends - we live principally in New York CIty and are always tryingt o save things especially the elderly and homeless, but our home sitautuion in each instance was because homes are emotional decisions and you could say and expression of our desire to save things - with each generation we learn new things but we continually loose something and each of these homes saves a part of the past that we value.
